Jesus said, “The poor will be with us always.”
St. Vincent de Paul is a Catholic lay organization that helps those in need.
Our organization provides financial, material, educational,
and spiritual support to people in need regardless of their background or faith and collaborates with other
organizations to empower people to achieve self-sufficiency. Upon receipt of client requests, we conduct
in-home visits with two trained volunteer caseworkers that evaluate the client’s need in greater detail.
We discern if our financial assistance will keep an individual or family housed and/or keep utilities on.
If so, we provide assistance on a case-by-case basis. We provide assistance with food, medicine, and other
miscellaneous services as needed, and we discuss with the client a plan to manage their future utilizing their
available resources, both personal and in the community. We also provide them with a resource list of local
agencies and services that might be helpful to them. We are part of an international organization and have
operated in North and Middle Georgia since 1903.
SVdP meets the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month at 5:30 in Moore Hall.
Please cantact the Parish office if you are in need of assistance.
